One side is smooth and shiny and one side is sanded and ready for art.
The shiny side can be used for designing with mediums that work well on nonporous glass-like surfaces. Markers, some stamp pad inks, and alcohol inks.
The sanded side takes lightweight mediums that you would use on a  drawing paper surface.
