Last year I taught at PAPER CROWN a Paper Arts store in Oklahoma City owned by Cindy Woods .

Cindy will be moving to WACO TEXAS this spring and hopefully opening a new shop soon . I will try to keep you posted of her progress.

The gals that support Cindy and her DARLING creative shop will miss this unique shopping experience. I hope all will take many road trips to Waco .

Paper Crowns superstar flagship teachers is

Jackie is one of the most talented decorative whimsy artist I have ever meet. She has such an eye for design, pattern, color and texture and trends . Every thing she creates is pure magic . Booklets, journals, cards , paper sculpture, fiber arts , mixed media . etc... Jackie excels at it all!

I was honored to have have Jackie attend my SHRINKETS classes while teaching at Paper Crown. She wanted to learn to use my SHRINKETS molds . HA HA Me teach her ? More like the other way around, LUCKY ME and this is why I love to teach as I learn so much .

Jackie jumped in like the pro she is and her first beads suppressed all my past bead creations . MY eyes almost popped out of my head viewing her SHRINKETS Shrink plastic creations .

The following months I watch her blog

as she showcased all she was doing with the SHRINKETS shrink plastic bead molds. l am happy to share some of her eye candy with you.

Lets hope Jackie will make teaching trips to WACO TEXAS once Cindy opens her new shop!!

Jackie and I share the same love for a well designed bead dangle . Note how Jackie mixes many beading materials that add interest and texture to in her bead dangles.

- Lucite, ceramic , glass ,sequins , plastic, resin metal etc.

- Beads in opaque ,clear ,faceted ,smooth , matt, shiny - Bead caps in mixed metal filagree style ( rolled an stamped metal) and Tibetan style ( cast metal ).

-Varied bead shapes and sizes tapering from small to a large center focal point and back down to small. Not how the large SHRINKETS BEAD overlaps the largest bead in Jackie's Design .

.

Note how she also alternates the materials between each element . To utilize this same technique you can purchase my template for creating a well designed bead dangle . I also have wonderful sequins perfect for bead dangles .

Her Jackie uses dots on the rim edge of her beads SOOO sweets. This can be done using a fine tip Micron pen .

High end art markers (COPIC brand etc.. )work very well on shrink plastic. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using SHARPIE brand markers for interior color as the look is simply too HARSH.

Jackie is in the black and white checked top to the left of me !

Note how Jackie created a checked pattern on the thick leaf edge. This can be done with a Sharpie brand fine tip maker this is the only place I recommend using a SHARPIE brand marker as when design the thick edge you need a deep strong color to stand out and have permeant color as you add this color AFTER you shrink your piece down.

Thanks Jackie for creating such wonderful work for us to enjoy.
