Walking Rusty

In this class we  will  take basic craft store materials and transform them into a unique Folk Art doll featuring a Paper Clay head  and wee rusted  Paper Clay dog. A variety of materials will be used, including  unique paint finishes.

My Paper Heart

Starting with a classic wood burning tool an a  wooden frame, our  design will be  burned into the wood. Prisma Colored pencils will  enhance  areas of our design . The surface will be distressed and 3 d objects added. The interior holds a favorite object or a Paper Clay form you may create.

Roley Poley

We will create a light weight steam punk whimsical  necklace using my unique pewter forming technique, Paper Clay modeling and  simple bead stringing will be taught.

Objects of My affections

This is your chance to be a sculptor in the form of Dr. Suess. You will create wee sculptures out  of Paper Clay . Color will  be added using dry brush painting , Prisma Colored  pencils , glitter,  leafing  and many other unique paint finishes. Our creations  will then be embellished  with beads ,wire  ribbon, fabric ,

  findings and much more.

The Steam Punk Ball

We will take a simple wooden box with a glass peek hole and transform it into a hanging doll . Paper Clay will be used to form her face and head adornment  . beads, vintage finds, wire and lace will decorate her body. Fun unique paint finishes will enhance the box of her body.

Julie’s World

Learn to create whimsical creatures out of Paper Clay. A variety of finishing techniques will be taught including dry brush painting and Prisma Colored pencils. These tiny critters are a true mixed media project as we will be using so  many materials including  both hand made and  found objects.

Shadow boxing

Foam core, iron paint, hardware materials , old books found objects paper clay

and much more. A small world will be created to bring a special find to life.

Reigning Cats and Dogs

Working with Paper Clay and simple geometric shapes we will sculpt  small dogs and cats . The next step will  be an introduction to  dry brush painting and

Prisma Colored pencils  on the Paper Clay surface .

Uniques paint finishes  will also be introduced .

Enchanted

Starting with wood burning tool and wood we will create and image and color it in with colored Pencils. Golden matt medium  iridescent acrylics mica and paper will then add to the transformation.

Flights of Fancy 

We will create a hanging doll using Paper Clay and simply joining techniques .  Design and color  will then be added to our doll using paint, foils, glitter ,stamps , colored pencils , ribbons , lace, fabric, found  objects  etc .

This is another  true mixed media project.

Steam punk Lilly

Using my unique pewter wrapping technique iron paint , findings and vintage fibers  . Alter a craft store bird , preparing him for his  steam punk  debut .

      When You Come to the Edge

Learn to make your own unique one of a kind custom shadow box and

then  alter the surface with unique paints.

A Paper Clay doll will be formed to  perch on the edge of the  box  and a variety 

of unique decorative embellishments  will be  added .
