All materials and tools supplied.
In this workshop you will be creating a work of art on wood . You will get in touch with the folk artist in you by creating a simple drawing of your design or you may choose one of mine. We will then transfer our image on to light weight wood encased in a frame . Using a traditional wood burning tool we will outline our image and add color with colored pencils and collage elements . Gel medium and findings will then be added and my special aging technique will be rubbed on . The final touch will come by adding mica and glass glitter.

Rust and Whimsy

In this class we will combine the art of collage with dry brush painting . Taking clip art I have created just for this technique , vintage and new paper ,you will learn basic design principles and how to create simple whimsical images by dry brushing, collage and adding embellishments from my collection . We will then be framing are “darlings “ in frames rusted with real rust giving these pieces the sophistication needed for the “mature” whimsy lover in us all!!
